WEEKEND SNOW SHOWERS COULD CREATE TRAVEL ISSUES
Motorists should be alert to conditions

LYNCHBURG—Weather forecasters are indicating that much of the Commonwealth will experience snow flurries or showers throughout this weekend.   That forecast includes locations in the ten counties of the Lynchburg District of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT): Amherst, Appomattox, Buckingham, Campbell, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Nelson, Pittsylvania and Prince Edward.

With overnight temperatures in the 20’s or lower, any precipitation that falls or remains on surfaces will likely freeze and icy conditions may result.

Motorists are urged to use caution and be alert to changing conditions.  Before heading out, call 511 for the latest weather and road condition information or visit www. 511virginia.org
