MOTORISTS WILL FACE DELAYS DURING BRIDGE WORK
Girders to be installed on Route 29 Tye River Bridge project

LYNCHBURG — Motorists on Route 29 at the Amherst/Nelson County line will face delays when four concrete girders are installed on the new northbound bridge over the Tye River.

The work is slated to take place from 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 22 to 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 23. During that time, American Infrastructure, prime contractor on the project, will ensure that all safety measures are in place to ensure the safety of the traveling public.

Local law enforcement will provide assistance with stopping vehicles and monitoring traffic during the placement of the girders.

Signs and other traffic control devices will be in place to alert motorists of stopped vehicles and delays.
