ROADS REMAIN CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING
Some long-term closures likely

LYNCHBURG– As of 8:00 a.m., approximately two dozen roads remain closed due to flooding in the Lynchburg District of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

The closures are in the counties of Amherst, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Nelson and Pittsylvania.

While many of these closures will be lifted as water recedes and the roads are checked for safety, some will remain closed longer for more extensive repair.

Current road conditions, including a list of closed roads, may be viewed at www.511Virginia.org or by calling 511.
