US 29 OPEN FOLLOWING STRUCTURE FIRE

LYNCHBURG –U.S. 29 has reopened this afternoon following a structure fire near the Lynchburg Regional Airport in Campbell County and traffic is moving normally.

All of U.S. 29 was closed for some time this morning with the southbound highway reopening mid-morning and northbound traffic being detoured via various secondary routes. One lane of northbound 29 was opened early this afternoon; however, traffic was moving slowly due to the numerous emergency vehicles operating in the other lane.
