VDOT CREWS IN FULL STORM MODE CLEARING SNOW COVERED ROADS
Motorists advised to stay off the roads during the storm
HAMPTON ROADS- Crews continue to work non-stop to clear roads. This morning snow and ice accumulations are picking up across Hampton Roads. Falling temperatures will increase chances of icy road conditions. Drivers are advised to avoid travel during the storm. If motorists must travel please use extreme caution and give VDOT plows space on the roadway to do their jobs.
VDOT crews will continue to concentrate on clearing snow covered roads through the weekend. VDOT’s goal is to have all state-maintained roads passable within 48 hours after a storm ends, if there are no additional accumulations.
To report a road hazard or to ask a road-related question, reach out to VDOT’s Customer Care Center at 1-800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623).
