VDOT CREWS WILL PRE-TREAT ROADS
Motorists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel tonight

SUFFOLK — The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will brine Interstate-64 from York County to the New Kent County Line along with I-95 and U.S. 58. VDOT will continue working overnight to patrol the roadways and respond to icy-road conditions as necessary.

The pre-treatment will help keep the interstates and primary roads in good condition. However, motorists are advised to travel only if necessary and to use extreme caution when driving.

For more winter travel information, visit www.virginiadot.org. Motorists can also call VDOT’s 24-hour Customer Service Center at 1-800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623) to report road hazards or ask road-related questions.
