ROUTE 616 BRIDGE (IVOR ROAD) OVER SEACOCK SWAMP REOPENS

 

SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY– After six weeks of construction crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reopened Route 616 Bridge (Ivor Road) over the Seacock Swamp today.  

Route 616 Bridge (Ivor Road) was rehabilitated, crews installed superstructure, including a new concrete deck and upgraded safety railing, making the thoroughfare safer for drivers. The project also included improvements to the approach roadway.
