ROUTE 612 (FREEMAN DRIVE) ON BRIDGE OVER CORROWAUGH SWAMP REOPENS
Work complete ahead of schedule

ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY– Crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reopened Route 612 (Freeman Drive) between Old Myrtle Road (Route 632) and Joyners Bridge (Route 611) over Corrowaugh Swamp.

The bridge opened one day ahead of schedule after crews replaced the steel beams and timber deck to the bridge structure.
