Traffic Delays on I-95 North and South
Commuters and holiday travelers should plan ahead
If you are traveling on I-95 South near the Sussex-Greenville County line, plan for a 7 mile back up from milepost 10 to milepost 17. Crews are working until 7 p.m. tonight.
If you are traveling on I-95 North, traffic is backed up at Exit 11 near Route 58. Crews are working until 6 p.m. tonight.
Please remember when traveling in work zones:
Stay alert! Expect anything to occur when entering a work zone.Pay close attention! Signs and work zone flaggers save lives.Turn on your headlights! Workers and other motorists must see you.
Don't tailgate! Unexpected stops frequently occur in work zone.Don't speed! Note the speed limits in and around the work zone.Keep up with traffic flow! Dedicate your attention to the road and motorists around you.Don't change lanes in the work zone! The time saved just isn't worth it.Minimize distractions! Avoid changing radio stations and using mobile phones.Expect the unexpected! Keep an eye out for workers and their equipment.
Be patient! Remember, the work zone crew is working to improve your future ride.
