EXPECT BRIEF DELAYS ON ROUTE 30 EASTBOUND AT THE NORTH ANNA RIVER BRIDGE IN CAROLINE COUNTY ON MONDAY, SEPT. 9
Crews to repair pavement at the east end of the bridge, weather permitting

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – On Monday, Sept. 9, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will begin a two-day repair to pavement at the east end of the Route 30 bridge over the North Anna River in Caroline County.

Crews will mill approximately 100 feet of the existing concrete and asphalt at the east end of the bridge, and it will be replaced with asphalt to create a smoother transition for vehicles.

Weather permitting, eastbound traffic will be restricted to one lane in the work zone on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 10, between 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day. Work is expected to be complete by 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Flaggers will be stationed in the work zone to maintain the flow of traffic.

One eastbound lane will remain open at all times. Westbound traffic will not be affected by this work zone

The North Anna River bridge is located on Route 30 near the entrance to The Meadow Event Park in Caroline County.
