TRUCK TRAFFIC RESTRICTED AT ELTHAM BRIDGE DUE TO HIGH WINDS
Only passenger vehicle traffic will be permitted to cross the bridge on Route 30 over the Pamunkey River between New Kent County and West Point until sustained high winds subside

7 A.M. SATURDAY (MARCH 3) UPDATE: The restriction on truck traffic at the Eltham Bridge has been lifted. Trucks and other high-profile vehicles can resume crossing the Pamunkey River on Route 30 between New Kent County and the Town of West Point.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has restricted truck traffic on Route 30 from crossing the Eltham Bridge over the Pamunkey River between New Kent County and the Town of West Point due to sustained high winds.

Truck traffic and other high profile vehicles are advised to seek alternate routes. Passenger vehicles will be permitted to continue crossing the Eltham Bridge.

Updates on the bridge’s status will be available online through 511Virginia at www.511virginia.org, by calling 511, or by downloading the free mobile 511 app.
