ROUTE 611 CULVERT REPLACEMENT PROJECT WILL BEGIN WEDNESDAY, AUG. 2 IN KING AND QUEEN COUNTY
Project Update: Route 611 (Tastine Road) culvert replacement project will continue through late September. Tastine Road will remain closed to through traffic. Motorists should continue to use the most convenient alternate route.
FREDERICKSBURG – On Wednesday, Aug. 2, Route 611 (Tastine Road) in King and Queen County will be closed to through traffic while crews replace the existing underground culverts.
VDOT crews will replace three culverts located under Tastine Road at Tastine Swamp.
The existing corrugated metal pipes will be upgraded to reinforced concrete pipes.
Tastine Road will be closed to through traffic for approximately 30 days.
Motorists should use the most convenient alternate route while work is underway.

VDOT’s 14-county Fredericksburg District includes the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford in the Fredericksburg area; Northumberland, Richmond, Lancaster and Westmoreland counties in the Northern Neck; Essex, Gloucester, King & Queen, King William, Mathews and Middlesex counties in the Middle Peninsula.
