PUBLIC INVITED TO COMMENT ON ROUTE 3 PASSING LANES PROJECT IN WESTMORELAND COUNTY
Design public hearing will be held 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department
FREDERICKSBURG – The public is invited to attend a design public hearing on Wednesday, Nov. 29, to learn more about a project to widen Route 3 to four lanes over 1.6 miles in Westmoreland County.
The project will widen a two-lane section of Route 3 to an undivided four lanes from north of Route 639 (Winter Harbour Road) to east of Route 624 (Longwood Road). This will create passing lanes to allow traffic to pass slower-moving vehicles.
Left turn lanes will be added at key intersections.

Stop by anytime between 5-7 p.m. to review displays, proposed plans, and discuss questions with Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) staff. No formal presentation will be given at the public hearing.
Comments will be accepted at the public hearing, and afterward through Dec. 9, 2017.
