Lanes remain open, but a flagging crew will guide motorists onto new asphalt near Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg

FREDERICKSBURG – Traffic will be shifted onto new asphalt today on Mary Washington Boulevard on the Mary Washington Hospital campus in Fredericksburg.

Lanes will remain open in both directions, but a flagging crew will direct Mary Washington Boulevard traffic to shift slightly between the intersections of Sam Perry Boulevard and Hospital Drive.

Traffic is shifting to provide space for work crews to widen Mary Washington Boulevard and add new travel lanes.

Mary Washington Boulevard will be extended to connect with Fall Hill Avenue as part of the $44.4 million Fall Hill Avenue widening and I-95 overpass replacement project, now under construction. The project will be completed in January 2017.
