ROUTE 606 SIGNALS RETURN TO FLASH MODE
Mudd Tavern Road traffic signals in Spotsylvania County near I-95 Exit 118/Thornburg will be placed in flash after midnight

FREDERICKSBURG – Two traffic signals will be placed in flash mode tonight on Route 606 (Mudd Tavern Road) in Spotsylvania County at the Interstate 95 northbound and southbound ramps at Exit 118/Thornburg.

The traffic signals will begin flashing shortly after midnight and will remain in flash mode.

By early Wednesday morning, the signals will display a flashing yellow signal for traffic on Mudd Tavern Road. A flashing red signal will display for I-95 ramp traffic.

Both signals were installed in April 2016 as temporary equipment. Permanent traffic signals will be installed as part of the upcoming Virginia Department of Transportation project to replace the I-95 overpass on Mudd Tavern Road and improve the road east of the interstate.

Law enforcement officials will provide traffic control at the Mudd Tavern Road and I-95 ramp intersections during special events at Dominion Raceway, and will have the ability to manually control the traffic signals as needed for these events.
