Weekday lane closures may be in place 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through mid-October

FREDERICKSBURG – Paving work is scheduled to begin on Princess Anne Street in Fredericksburg between Route 1 and Fauquier Street on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Work will be underway on weekdays through Friday, Oct. 14, weather permitting.

Motorists can expect brief daytime travel delays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Princess Anne Street between Route 1 and Fauquier Street. Princess Anne Street may be reduced to one lane in the work zone during these hours. Additional work may occur outside of the travel lanes between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Motorists should stay alert for temporary traffic patterns, rough pavement, equipment, cones, barrels and workers. Motorists will be guided through the work zone by a flagging crew.

Work will begin near the Fauquier Street intersection next week and proceed north.

When complete, the project will provide a smoother travel surface for motorists and fresh pavement markings.
