PLANNED WORK ZONES ON I-95 TONIGHT AND THURSDAY NIGHT NEAR FREDERICKSBURG
Motorists should expect delays
FREDERICKSBURG – Two Interstate 95 work zones that were postponed earlier this week will take place tonight and Thursday night. Motorists should expect delays at the following locations:
- Interstate 95 Northbound (City of Fredericksburg)
At approximately 11:30 p.m. tonight, the Virginia State Police will slow traffic on I-95 northbound at mile marker 131, located just north of Exit 130 (Rt. 3/Fredericksburg). Crews will move a large crane from the northbound shoulder to the median. All lanes are expected to be reopened by 12:30 a.m. This work is in connection with the Fall Hill Avenue Widening and I-95 Overpass Replacement Project.
- Interstate 95 Northbound and Southbound (Caroline County)
On Thursday, June 30 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. one lane will be closed on I-95 northbound and southbound at the Page Road Bridge over I-95. The bridge is located just north of Exit 118 (Rt. 606/Thornburg) in Spotsylvania County. Crews will be repairing the concrete on the bridge. In addition, one lane will be closed on Paige Road in the work zone.
