MERRY POINT FERRY IN LANCASTER COUNTY TO RESUME SERVICE TUESDAY
Sunny Bank Ferry in Northumberland County remains out of service

FREDERICKSBURG – Service on the Merry Point Ferry in Lancaster County will resume at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

The ferry was taken out of service on Friday, Dec. 2 for repairs to the vessel’s drive wheel, which operates the vessel’s pulley system.

The Sunny Bank Ferry in Northumberland County remains out of service. The Sunny Bank Ferry was taken out of service on Thursday, Dec. 1 for mechanical repairs. A replacement part has been ordered to repair the vessel’s drive wheel.

The Merry Point Ferry service is located on Route 604 in Lancaster. It crosses the western end of the Corrotoman River.

The Sunny Bank Ferry is located on Route 644 in Northumberland, and crosses the Little Wicomico River.
