Emergency bridge deck repair will be underway near Exit 133/Route 17

FREDERICKSBURG – Motorists traveling on southbound Interstate 95 in the Fredericksburg area tonight could experience delays while crews perform an emergency bridge deck repair near Exit 133/Route 17 in Stafford County. 

Single or double lane closures will be in place on southbound I-95 at the Route 17 overpass at the following scheduled times:

  • 9:30 p.m. Single lane closure
  • 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. Double lane closure

Additionally, one lane of Route 17 will be closed in each direction underneath the bridge from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. overnight.

Crews will repair multiple potholes in the right and center travel lanes on the bridge deck.
