EXPECT OVERNIGHT DELAYS ON DOWNING BRIDGE NEXT WEEK
Route 360 will be reduced to one lane on bridge between Richmond County and Town of Tappahannock for bridge washing

FREDERICKSBURG – Motorists will encounter overnight delays on Route 360 at the Downing Bridge next week for bridge maintenance work.

Route 360 will be reduced to one lane on the bridge from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each evening on Monday, Aug. 1 through Thursday, Aug. 4.

Bridge washing will be underway. This routine maintenance work protects the bridge’s structural steel elements by removing accumulated dirt, salt and debris, and keeps bridge joints and drainage facilities clear.

The Downing Bridge spans the Rappahannock River between Richmond County and the Town of Tappahannock.
