EXPECT DELAYS ON SOUTHBOUND ROUTE 1 IN FREDERICKSBURG TODAY
Traffic down to one lane on Rt.1 near Mary Washington Blvd.

FREDERICKSBURG ˗˗ Motorists may encounter travel delays on southbound Route 1 (Jefferson Davis Highway) near Mary Washington Boulevard in the city of Fredericksburg today.

Southbound traffic is down to one lane while crews finish up work in the median as part of the Fall Hill Avenue widening project.

Later this evening, southbound traffic on Route 1 will be shifted over onto new pavement.

Traffic may be down to one southbound lane until approximately midnight.

Flaggers are in the work zone to direct traffic.

VDOT and Virginia State Police will be monitoring traffic conditions. State Police will also assist with traffic control through the work zone.

Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time through this area.
