VDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETINGS ON ROUTE 3 IN NORTHERN NECK
Agency seeking feedback on study of Route 3 in King George, Westmoreland, Richmond and Lancaster counties

FREDERICKSBURG – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) invites the public to attend upcoming meetings on potential Route 3 improvements in King George, Westmoreland, Richmond and Lancaster counties.

VDOT, in partnership with the Northern Neck Planning District Commission, is studying ways to improve the efficiency of the Route 3 corridor between Route 301 in King George County and the Robert O. Norris Bridge in Lancaster County.

The study presents an analysis of existing conditions on Route 3 and identifies problem areas. Public meetings are being held in June to share the study’s initial findings, and to seek feedback on how Route 3 can be improved.

Public input will be considered in the development of the study’s final recommendations.
