ROUTE 205 (RIDGE ROAD) CLOSED DEC. 15-17
Rt. 205 traffic will be detoured over 48 hours for pipe replacement project

FREDERICKSBURG – Route 205 (Ridge Road) in Westmoreland County will be closed to all traffic next week for approximately 48 hours for a pipe replacement project.

Ridge Road will be closed immediately west of Riverview Circle from midday Tuesday, Dec. 15 until midday Thursday, Dec. 17.

Crews will remove a deteriorated corrugated metal pipe from underneath the road. A new concrete pipe will be installed.

Traffic will be detoured to use Route 631 (Longfield Road) to access Colonial Beach and other destinations. Message boards will be posted to notify motorists of the upcoming road closure and detour route.
