PAVING WORK CONTINUES NOV. 19-25 IN GLOUCESTER
Motorists on Route 17 northbound may experience minor delays, rough pavement

FREDERICKSBURG – Motorists may experience temporary rough pavement in Gloucester County as paving work begins on northbound Route 17, and continues on Route 3/14 (John Clayton Memorial Highway).  

Work is scheduled weather permitting, and single lane closures may be in place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

Route 17 Northbound

Work is underway to mill and pave Route 17 northbound over 4.4 miles, starting just north of Route 606 (Farys Mill Road) and ending 1.1 mile north of Route 610 (Woods Cross Road).

Milling is underway this week. Paving will begin on Monday, Nov. 23, with all asphalt placed by Wednesday, Dec. 9.

Route 3/14

Milling and paving work is scheduled to be complete by Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Route 17 Business

All milling and paving work is complete. Line markings are being painted this week, and will be completed by Friday, Nov. 20.

Thanksgiving Holiday

No work is scheduled to occur in these work zones over the Thanksgiving holiday travel period between noon Wednesday, Nov. 25 and noon Monday, Nov. 30.
