NEW HERITAGE PARK ENTRANCE TO OPEN ON FALL HILL AVENUE
Motorists in Fredericksburg can expect minor delays near new location

FREDERICKSBURG – A new entrance to Heritage Park apartments in Fredericksburg will open on Fall Hill Avenue on Thursday, July 16.

The new entrance is east of the current entrance. The relocated entrance provides improved sight distance for motorists and aligns with Bragg Hill Drive.

Motorists may experience intermittent single lane closures near the new entrance between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, weather permitting. When required, motorists will be directed through the work zone by a flagging crew.

The Heritage Park entrance is being relocated as part of a Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) project to widen Fall Hill Avenue to four lanes. The project is also replacing the Fall Hill Avenue overpass crossing Interstate 95, and will extend Mary Washington Boulevard to intersect with Fall Hill Avenue in a roundabout.

For more information on the Fall Hill Avenue project, visit the project webpage on www.VirginiaDOT.org:
