EXPECT DELAYS ON DOWNING BRIDGE AUG. 12-14
Route 360 traffic will be reduced to single lane for bridge inspection

FREDERICKSBURG—Inspection work on the Downing Bridge will cause brief travel delays next week on Route 360 in the Tappahannock area.

Route 360 will be reduced to a single lane on the bridge from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Aug. 12 through Friday, Aug. 14.

Traffic will be directed by a flagging crew.

Message boards will be placed on each bridge approach to notify motorists of the upcoming lane closures. Work has scheduled weather permitting.  

The Downing Bridge is located on Route 360 between Richmond and Essex counties, and crosses the Rappahannock River at Tappahannock.
