BRIEF DELAYS ON ELTHAM, LORD DELAWARE BRIDGES ON JUNE 1-2
Light pole maintenance work, inspections will be underway

FREDERICKSBURG – Motorists may encounter brief delays on the Eltham (Route 30) and Lord Delaware (Route 33) bridges near the Town of West Point on Monday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 2.

Crews will be inspecting the light poles on the bridges, and performing routine maintenance as needed. The location of this mobile work zone will change as crews move from one light pole to the next.

Traffic on the bridges will be reduced to a single lane in the mobile work zone between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 2.

Crews will work in the eastbound lanes in the morning, and in the westbound lanes in the afternoon.

To check real-time traffic and work zone information before starting a trip, motorists can visit 511virginia.org, call 511, or download VDOT’s free mobile 511 app.
