TWO LANES OF SOUTHBOUND I-95 CLOSED TONIGHT AT ROUTE 17 OVERPASS
Two lanes closed 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for bridge deck repairs in Stafford

FREDERICKSBURG – Two lanes of southbound Interstate 95 will be closed overnight at the Route 17 overpass in Stafford County to make a permanent repair to a pothole in the bridge deck.

Two southbound lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. between mile marker 135 and 133, located near exit 133/Falmouth.

On Friday, June 18, two lanes of I-95 southbound were closed for several hours at the bridge to perform an emergency, temporary repair to a pothole in a travel lane.

Tonight, workers will remove the section of the bridge deck affected by the pothole, install new steel beams, and pour new concrete.
