ROUTE 17 SOUTHBOUND REDUCED TO SINGLE LANE NEXT WEEK
Paving work will be underway at night June 29-July 2 in Stafford County

FREDERICKSBURG – Route 17 southbound in Stafford County will be reduced to a single lane overnight between Cardinal Forest Drive and International Parkway next week.

One southbound lane will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each evening from Sunday, June 29 through Wednesday, July 2.

Paving work will be underway in connection with an ongoing project to widen Route 17 to six lanes. Additional asphalt is being applied to raise the elevation of the southbound lanes, improve drainage, and prepare for a temporary traffic pattern.
