PAVING WORK BEGINS SUNDAY ON I-95 SOUTHBOUND
Project will improve riding surface in travel lanes, on interchange ramp near Exit 118/Thornburg
FREDERICKSBURG – Two lanes of southbound Interstate 95 will be closed overnight for paving work on Sunday, June 1 through Thursday, June 5 near Exit 118 at Thornburg in Spotsylvania County.
In addition, the off-ramp from southbound I-95 to Exit 118 will be closed overnight starting at 10 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, for paving. Southbound I-95 motorists should use Exit 126/Spotsylvania or Exit 110/Ladysmith as an alternate exit. The off-ramp will re-open by 5 a.m. Monday, June 2.
Workers are paving approximately 2 miles of interstate, from a point just north of Exit 118, to just south of the exit.
Two southbound I-95 travel lanes will be closed overnight at the following times next week:
Sunday, June 1
10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Monday, June 2-Thursday, June 5
9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
