MATTOX CREEK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT UNDERWAY
Contractor will close Route 638 on Tuesday, June 24

FREDERICKSBURG – The project that will replace the Route 205 bridge over Mattox Creek in Westmoreland County is underway.  

Beginning Tuesday, June 24 crews from Abernathy Construction Corporation will close Route 638 (Ferry  Landing Road) at Route 205. This portion of Route 638 will remain closed for the duration of the project. Motorists should use Route 3 to access Route 638.

The $8.1 million project will replace the existing structurally deficient bridge over Mattox Creek.  The project is expected to be complete in July 2016.
