LORIELLA PARK DRIVE CLOSING TO THROUGH TRAFFIC ON SATURDAY, OCT. 4
Construction work begins to replace culvert on subdivision road in Spotsylvania County

FREDERICKSBURG – Route 1387 (Loriella Park Drive) in Spotsylvania County will close to traffic tomorrow at the site of a drainage culvert.

Loriella Park Drive will be closed to through traffic for approximately three months, weather permitting. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and its contractor are replacing a drainage culvert underneath the road.

Traffic will be detoured to Windsor Drive and Ascot Circle during construction. Signs will be posted to guide motorists through the detour.

The existing drainage pipe underneath Loriella Park Drive will be removed and replaced with a concrete box culvert to promote better drainage. When the project is complete, new guardrail will be installed.

Loriella Park Drive carries approximately 1,200 vehicles per day, according to a 2013 VDOT traffic count.

Motorists can call 511, visit www.511virginia.org or use VDOT’s 511Virginia free mobile app to find real-time traffic and work zone information in any area of the state.
