I-95 RAMP CLOSURES PLANNED THIS WEEK IN FREDERICKSBURG AREA
Motorists encouraged to check 511Virginia for real-time updates
FREDERICKSBURG – Multiple entrance or exit ramps on Interstate 95 will be closed overnight this week in the Fredericksburg area for road improvements.
The following ramps will be closed:
Monday, July 14
Exit 143/Aquia and Garrisonville
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. On-ramp to I-95 southbound is closed from westbound Route 610. Contractor is installing overhead signs on the interstate.
Exit 130/Route 3
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. On-ramp to I-95 southbound is closed from Route 3 westbound at Fredericksburg. Contractor is installing overhead signs on the interstate. This work was previously scheduled for the evening of Sunday, July 13.
Monday, July 14-Wednesday, July 16
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. For three consecutive nights, the on-ramp to I-95 southbound will be closed from Route 1 at Exit 126/Spotsylvania. Contractor is milling and paving southbound I-95 in the vicinity of the ramp, necessitating the ramp’s closure.
Work has been scheduled weather permitting. Before starting a trip, motorists are encouraged to check 511Virginia for real-time information on lane closures and congestion.
