I-95 NORTHBOUND LANE CLOSURES PLANNED THIS EVENING
Two northbound lanes will close in Spotsylvania County at Route 17 overpass

FREDERICKSBURG – Two lanes of northbound Interstate 95 will close tonight in Spotsylvania County at the Route 17 overpass for the removal of scaffolding.

 

One northbound lane will close at 9 p.m. and a second lane will close at 10 p.m. All lanes will re-open by 5 a.m.

 

The Route 17 overpass is located just south of exit 126/Spotsylvania. Workers are removing scaffolding that was used to repair the bridge deck on the Route 17 overpass.

 

Multiple evening work zones will be active on I-95 tonight in the Fredericksburg area, and motorists are encouraged to use Route 1 to avoid delays:

Work has been scheduled weather permitting. Before starting a trip, motorists are encouraged to check 511Virginia for real-time information on lane closures and congestion.
