No work scheduled on October 3 - 4

FREDERICKSBURG - Beginning Wednesday, October 1, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will begin milling and paving on Route 30 in the Town of West Point during the daylight hours.

Motorists should expect lane closures and delays on Route 30 between Route 702 ((Industrial Park Road) and Route 1113 (17th Street) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

There will be no work scheduled on Friday, October 3 through Sunday, October 4.

The project will begin with milling the existing pavement which will leave a coarse driving surface. Motorists are encouraged to reduce their speed and use caution when driving through the work zone.

The paving project is expected to complete by December 2014.
