BUTLER ROAD CLOSED TONIGHT IN STAFFORD COUNTY
Motorists should use alternate route during emergency pavement repair

FREDERICKSBURG – Butler Road in Stafford County will be closed overnight between Route 1 and Carter Street at the Falmouth intersection for emergency pavement repairs.

Workers will repair pavement across the entire width of Butler Road, which requires a road closure from 7 p.m. to

5 a.m. this evening.

Carter Street will remain open to traffic during the road closure.

Sinkholes emerged in the eastbound and westbound lanes of Butler Road on Monday afternoon, where an intersection improvement project is underway. Steel plates were installed as temporary repair, but a permanent repair is required.
