BRIEF TRAFFIC STOPS ON ELTHAM BRIDGE TOMORROW
Motorists can expect brief stoppages of 5-7 minutes between 2-3 p.m.

FREDERICKSBURG – Motorists may experience brief travel delays on Route 30 at the Eltham Bridge between 2-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will stop Route 30 traffic in both directions for several 5-7 minute intervals so work crews can test and perform maintenance on the bridge’s opening mechanism.

The Eltham Bridge crosses the Pamunkey River, and is located between New Kent County and West Point.

Real-time listings of travel times, work zones, and traffic incidents in Virginia are available on VDOT’s 24-hour traffic information website, www.511Virginia.org.

Motorists can also access 511Virginia by calling 511 from any telephone in Virginia, or downloading VDOT’s 511Virginia free mobile app.
