BENCHMARK ROAD TO CLOSE AT RAIL CROSSING APRIL 7-8
CSX is closing road at rail crossing for paving work in Spotsylvania County

FREDERICKSBURG – CSX will close Benchmark Road in Spotsylvania County to through traffic at a rail crossing near Mine Road on Monday, April 7 and Tuesday, April 8.

 

CSX is paving the road approaches leading up to the rail crossing. CSX will close Benchmark Road at the rail crossing at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 7, and the road will remain closed overnight. The road is expected to re-open during the afternoon of Tuesday, April 8.

 

Detour signs will be posted along the route to guide motorists. To reach their destination, motorists should use Route 2 (Tidewater Trail) and Route 17 (Mills Drive), or the most convenient alternate route.
