UPDATE: DAYTIME LANE CLOSURES ON NORRIS BRIDGE THROUGH DECEMBER
Minor delays expected on Route 3 for routine bridge deck patching over Rappahannock River

FREDERICKSBURG—Starting today through mid-December, motorists can expect brief weekday delays on Route 3 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for bridge deck patching.

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane over a small section of the bridge, where Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and contractor crews will patch the bridge deck for routine maintenance.

This work has been scheduled for late fall to establish a smooth driving surface in advance of winter weather.

The Norris Bridge is located on Route 3 between Lancaster and Middlesex counties, and crosses the Rappahannock River at White Stone.

Motorists can call 511, visit www.511Virginia.org, or use VDOT’s 511Virginia free mobile app to find real-time traffic and work zone information in any area of the state.
