SIGNAL WORK WILL CAUSE DELAYS AT ROUTE 1 INTERSECTION IN SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY
Virginia State Police will direct traffic at the intersection of Route 1 and Spotsylvania Parkway on Friday, April 26

FREDERICKSBURG –   Beginning at 9 a.m., Friday, April 26 the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will replace a damaged signal pole at the intersection of Route 1 and Spotsylvania Parkway at Cosner Corner in Spotsylvania County.  

Damage to the structure was caused by a vehicle crash last week.  

The electrical power to the traffic signal will be turned off during the replacement work.

Virginia State Police will be on hand to direct motorists through the intersection and the work zone.   

Motorists should also expect lane closures on Spotsylvania Parkway east and west of the intersection.

Work is expected to be complete by 2 p.m.
