PAVING TO BEGIN IN STAFFORD AND SPOTSYLVANIA NEXT WEEK
Motorists should expect lane closures on Route 208 in Spotsylvania

FREDERICKSBURG – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will begin paving on several routes in Stafford and Spotsylvania County next week.

Beginning Monday, April 22 crews will be paving on Route 208 in Spotsylvania County between Smith Station Road and Wild Turkey Drive.  Westbound motorists will be restricted to one lane between 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. through Friday, April 26.

Crews will also be paving the shoulders at the following locations.  

Spotsylvania County

Wednesday:
• Route 636 (Mine Road)  - at Lansdowne Road

Stafford County

Tuesday:  
• Route 627 (Mountain View Rd.) – between Rt. 651 (Kellogg Mill Rd.) and Rt. 741 (Wood Rd.)

Thursday:  
• Route 612 (Hartwood Rd.)  – between Rt. 652 (Stony Hill Rd.) and Rt. 614 (Spotted Tavern Rd.)

Crews will be working at each location from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. each day. All travel lanes will be open.
