BRIDGE WORK WILL CLOSE OLD PINETTA ROAD IN GLOCUESTER COUNTY NEXT WEEK
Motorists will be detoured around the work zone beginning December 16

FREDERICKSBURG – Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will begin work to replace the Route 610 (Old Pinetta Road) bridge superstructure.  The bridge, located in Gloucester County, will be closed to traffic during the work.

The superstructure replacement will include new steel beams, a new deck and new guardrails. The existing abutments will remain in place.

The bridge, which carries 190 vehicles per day, will be closed to traffic during the work.  

Motorists should follow the posted detour route around the work site

Work is expected to be complete by 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 22.
