WORK TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE MAIN STREET CENTER ENTRANCE
The southernmost entrance to the Gloucester County shopping center will be closed for 24 hours

FREDERICKSBURG –   As work progresses on the Fox Mill Run Bridge Bridge Replacement project, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will temporarily close the southernmost entrance to the Main Street Center located on Route 17 Business.  The closure will take place during a 24 hour period between Wednesday, Feb. 1 and Friday, Feb. 3, depending on the contractor’s schedule.

The closure, which will take place after the morning rush hour, is needed so that crews can replace a sewer line located near the Route 17 crossover.  The work is expected to be complete within 24 hours.   In the event of inclement weather, the closure will take place on the next dry day.

Electronic message boards will direct motorists to the alternate entrances during the closure.

This work is in connection with the Fox Mill Run Bridge Replacement project.  The project is scheduled to be finished in late fall 2012.

For real-time traffic and lane closure information anywhere in Virginia, call 511 or visit www.511virginia.org.
