ROUTE 17 PAVING WORK SWITCHED TO OVERNIGHT HOURS
Work already underway
FREDERICKSBURG— The hours of operation on the Route 17 paving project in Gloucester County, which is currently underway, have been changed to 6 p.m. – 6 a.m. The work was originally scheduled to be during the daylight hours.
The contractor will be milling, paving and replacing traffic signal detectors on a 1.5 mile section near the Coleman Bridge.
Motorists will be restricted to one lane during the overnight hours Monday - Thursday at the following locations:
• Route 17 north - from just north of Route 216 to just north of Route 1307
• Route 17 south - between Route 667 and Route 614
All lanes will be open to traffic in time for the morning commute and will not begin until after the evening commute.
The paving project is expected to be complete by 6 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 12.
