REST AREA TO CLOSE OVERNIGHT THIS WEEK ON
Shoulders, ramps at rest area will be paved during evening hours
FREDERICKSBURG – The Safety Rest Area on Interstate 95 southbound at Ladysmith in Caroline County will close overnight this week on August 14-16 so workers can mill and pave the shoulders and ramps leading to and from the facility.
The rest area will be closed between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings this week, weather permitting.
Motorists are encouraged to visit the Safety Rest Area and Welcome Center at Fredericksburg, which is located on Interstate 95 southbound at mile marker 131. The Safety Rest Area at Ladysmith is located at mile marker 108 on I-95 southbound.
