Officials will be available to discuss proposed improvements on Route 634 (Canterbury Road) in King and Queen County
FREDERICKSBURG — The public is invited to attend an information meeting Tuesday night on proposed plans for a drainage improvement project on Route 634 (Canterbury Road) in King and Queen County.
No formal presentation will be given at the meeting. Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) officials will be available continuously from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24 to share project plans, maps, and documents, and to address questions.
A citizen information meeting on the project has been scheduled:
Tuesday, July 24, 2012
Mattaponi Volunteer Rescue Squad
6089 Canterbury Road
Walkerton, VA 23177
The project would reconstruct a 1.5 mile section of Route 634 to address flooding and drainage concerns in the area.
The project will also improve sight distance at the intersection of Route 636 (Minter Lane), and will mitigate the effects of a curve just beyond this intersection.
More information on the project can be found online at www.VirginiaDOT.org:
