I-95 WELCOME CENTER AND SAFETY REST AREA NEAR FREDERICKSBURG WILL BE CLOSED OVERNIGHT ON THURSDAY, SEPT. 6
Crews will be paving the entrance and exit ramp during evening hours

FREDERICKSBURG – The Virginia Welcome Center and Safety Rest Area located at mile marker 131 on I-95 south near Fredericksburg will be closed to traffic from 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, weather permitting.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will be milling and paving the entrance and exit ramp at the facility.

Southbound motorists are encouraged to visit the Safety Rest Area located just south of Exit 156 (Dale City) in Prince William County or the rest area located just south of Exit 110 (Rt. 639/Ladysmith) in Caroline County.
