BROOKE ROAD WORK POSTPONED UNTIL NEXT WEEK
Inclement weather delays pipe replacement project until Wednesday, May 30

FREDERICKSBURG – Rain has delayed the pipe replacement work that was scheduled to begin today.  The work which will close a portion of Brooke Road (Rt. 608) has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 30.

As previously planned, the work will close Brooke Road to traffic near Eskimo Hill Road (Rt. 628) in Stafford County from 7 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  Motorists traveling in the vicinity of this work zone should seek the most convenient alternate route. Commuters that use the VRE Commuter Lot on Brooke Road can use Potomac Run Road (Rt. 626) to reach Deacon Road or White Oak Road during the daytime closure.

Real time listings of work zones and road conditions in Virginia are available on VDOT’s 24-hour traffic and travel information website www.511virginia.org.  Motorists can also access 511Virginia by calling 511 from any telephone in Virginia.
