VDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING FOR UPCOMING PROJECTS
(Projects on River Road and Brooke Road may impact daily travel)

FREDERICKSBURG— The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a Citizen Information Meeting on Wednesday, February 9 to discuss two upcoming projects in Stafford County.  The meeting will be from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. in VDOT’s District Auditorium located at 86 Deacon Road in Stafford.

VDOT representatives along with the Design Build Project Managers will be available to discuss what’s being done, how the work will impact your daily travel and address your concerns about the following projects:

  • Route 608 (Brooke Road) at the bridge over Potomac Creek
This deck replacement project is expected to begin March 1.  The work will close Brooke Road to through traffic at the bridge for approximately four months.

  • Route 607 (River Road)
Crews have mobilized on River Road to begin the culvert replacement project.  Once work is underway, motorists should expect brief delays during the overnight hours.

If you are unable to attend the meeting send your questions to fredericksburginfo@vdot.virginia.gov
