BROOKE ROAD IN STAFFORD REOPENS TO TRAFFIC
Deck replacement project completed on time
FREDERICKSBURG – The Route 608 (Brooke Road) bridge over Potomac Creek in southern Stafford is now open to traffic. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reopened the structure earlier today. The structure was closed to traffic in April 2011, detouring traffic around the work site.
Bryant Contracting, Inc. completed the $600,000 rehabilitation project on time delivering a wider, more durable structure that features newer industry design standards which will allow heavier vehicles to cross the bridge. In addition, railing and guardrail have been installed at the bridge approach.
